Taiwanese passport is very strong. If you have a Taiwanese nationality, you can carry your suitcase to go to wherever you want to go, no worry, even go to the US. If you ask around, anyone who has permanently resided there for 5 years have the right to apply for Taiwanese citizenship. But for the mainland compatriots, the required time is ... 10 years. Later, it seems to have loosened up a bit, reducing by a year, because of the decrease in its population. Per say, for Vietnamese residing in Taiwan, it is easy to get citizenship if they don't break the law.

It seems that Japan also has the citizenship law that after 5 years of permanent residence, you have the right to apply for naturalization. But the procedure is very strict in Japan, so many people have lived there for the whole life and still couldn't get the citizenship. The most difficult thing is the reputation of residents living in the country, as well as the skill in Japanese writing language (must know how to read simple Japanese texts, but Japanese words are all so complicated). And on top of them, applicants have to prove that they have been living in harmony with their Japanese neighbours. When applying for citizenship, the authorities will ask the opinion of their neighbours, if positive comments were said by the neighbours, then the authority will accept the application. Our Vietnamese people in Japan mostly tend to keep communication within their own Viet group, like playing, karaoke entertaining, drinking, etc., they seldom participate in local social activities, have very few native Japanese friends, lives separately.... hence it’s very hard to get Japanese citizenship. But strangely, people from Korea and ethnic Korean are never allowed to hold Japanese nationality, even though they have lived in Japan all of their life or through many generations, living and speaking like Japanese people.

Australia is completely opposite, getting Australian citizenship is as easy as eating ice cream. If you set foot in Australia for 4 years, you have the right to apply for citizenship if you have been permanently resident continuously for at least two years. Just cross the multiple choice citizenship test with both eyes closed and you will get the test passed. It's so easy, but its population just grows so slowly. So disappointed.

Migrants are hard to find nowadays. Governments on the one hand reduce taking in immigrants to please the local people, on the other hand still find ways to attract skilled people from other countries to settle down because if there are people coming to settle then the national economy will be stimulated and grow.

Because the Taiwanese passport is strong, a lot of people from this country visit Australia for holiday. In general, doing manual labour works in Australia earn more money than in Taiwan. In Taiwan, manual job in factories or farms may earn about 1200 dollars a month. Come to Australia then go to work in rural farms ranch, each person can make over $3000 a month. A lot of Vietnamese from Taiwan (mostly women) came to Australia to travel and then to illegally work in rural farms, although the law does not allow this practice. Many people also want to stay back and settle down permanently. So “Taiwanese – Australian love –marry” connections have been blossoming. It's not so difficult like if still live in Vietnam. It's not difficult for Vietnamese girls from Taiwan who are temporarily staying in Australia with the tourist visa to find a husband and then stay permanently in Australia, because Australian men (Vietnamese origin or local Australian) are single in rows, just swing the hands out and grasp them. Taiwanese husbands sometimes let their wives going on vacation, and then resulting in losing their wives are always real. The trend of Taiwanese getting married to Australian locals are high these days, because the mainland keeps bullying this Island nation. Our Vietnamese people had gone through a lot of wars against China, went to Taiwan to avoid raw deals from Vietcong (Chinese in stealth) but once again face the rotten eggs from communist China...

Minh is my friend working in the same profession. He is an honest and hardworking married person. The couple had broken up for a long time, the children preferred to live with him, so this old single rooster had to raise his two children until they were mature. Someone introduced to him a girl in Vietnam, he came back there to meet her, saw that she the right girl and immediately accepted to marry her. Returned back to Australia, he prepared the documents to sponsor her to unite with him in Australia as his fiance, will marry her in Australia after she arrive in Australia.

Suddenly, another of his friend introduced a Vietnamese girl from Taiwan. An arrangement was set up to meet her at a local coffee shop. He asked me to go along with him. He said: “I had a fiance in Vietnam, but the friend I’m working with introduced a girl, out of respect, so I have to go and meet her. You go with me to meet her as well, if she catches your eyes, then just go ahead and net her”. I was nervous too. The senior and junior lonesome pair came to the coffee shop. The Vietnamese Taiwanese girl and the match maker were already there, waiting. The group talked for a while, laughed and had a fun time. She was the Southerner. It has been a long time that I've not heard a Southern accent. In Australia I heard mostly girls with Northern accents. Deep in my heart, I thought to myself if my friend didn’t pick her, then... let me, I would jump in for the catch. She stood up, went to get a pot of tea to invite us, only then we noticed her long and sexy pair of legs. Of course, in the end it was not left for my turn, Mr. Minh fell head over heel with her. That afternoon, they became the inseparable pair. She immediately moved in to his love nest.

Frankly speaking, Minh had a few happy years with her. After giving birth to a son, the divorce papers from her Taiwanese husband in Taiwan were completed and Minh's guarantee became valid, and she got the permanent residence status. Lived with Minh for a few more months for the sake of extra tipping - the last supper- in return for his “generosity” act - her permanent residency in Australia, she then moved out on her own. Now Minh can only hug his son via arranged visitations. She was no longer his “wife”, because he already saw a young and handsome man staying in her home, busying in taking care of the pair of her long sexy legs, not saggy old incompetent men like Minh or me. So one love episode was over.

It’s easy for Taiwanese nationals to come to Australia as tourists, this has created new profitable services. I know it's by accident. One day, a woman called me to renovate her massage parlour shop. She rented a shop with a parking space at the back. The frontage was inscribed as the Thai massage parlour. I thought there must be some Thai girl masseurs working at the parlour. The original large room is divided into many small rooms. Upstairs make two more bedrooms with bathroom and toilet. She said to let the girls rest after work. I've been working at this shop for over a month. Was given a massage voucher by the lady owner, saying with this special card you can be served from A to.... z. Never mind, we are man, this pleasure activity has to have, don't let it stay in the brain for a long time, it might cause many incurable diseases. Anyone curses the old man as a sex pervert, I happily accept it (but who is that stupid to let people ... know, keep the high moral character.). One day while in the happy mood, remembered the voucher. The guy went to visit some Thai girls to avenge on behalf of his native people. Mama! There were dozens of very young chics to choose from, all of them were beautiful and surprisingly all spoke... Vietnamese. How unlucky it was, met only Vietnamese girls with such young ages....It turned me off completely! I ended up with a healthy massage instead, no gut left for the .... "closed-up, front on" service. So the special voucher was wasted!!

Now Vietnamese are taking on. Where are human resources? There are almost no indigenous Aussie people, all must come from abroad with abundance sources from foreign tourists, schoolers or fake marriages. And some Taiwanese girls are also in this trade too. There is no other easy job to earn a thousand dollars a day, only in this profession does. Every three months the shops have new recruits of young and fresh babes, so the Australian red light districts can't compete against these massage businesses. Traveling to Australia for three-six months, returning back home with sixty thousand in the wallet. I have heard about this earning from reliable sources.

The COVID is so harmful and devastated to "our pleasure service girls" right now! So stressful!!

Sổ thông hành của ĐL rất mạnh. Có quốc tịch Đài thì muốn đi đâu là xách valy đi thôi, khỏi nghĩ ngợi, ngay cả đi Mỹ. Hỏi thăm thì biết ai thường trú tại đấy 5 năm thì có quyền xin quốc tịch. Riêng đồng hương lục địa thì ưu tiên....10 năm. Sau này hình như có nới lỏng một chút, bớt đi một năm sao đó vì dân số giảm. Người Việt nghe nói vào quốc tịch dễ nếu không vi phạm pháp luật.

Hình như Nhật cũng có luật 5 năm sau thường trú là có quyền xin nhập tịch. Bên Nhật khó lắm nên nhiều người sống cả đời mà vẫn không vào được. Cái khó nhất là tiếng tăm, chữ nghĩa đã đành ( phải biết đọc bài văn đơn giản mà chữ của họ thì đủ kiểu ) mà còn phải chứng tỏ mình sống hoà đồng với dân Nhật mới được. Khi xin quốc tịch, cơ quan thẩm quyền có hỏi thăm hàng xóm của mình , họ nói tốt thì trên mới chấp thuận. Phe ta ngày nghỉ chỉ chơi với đồng hương, karaoke, ăn nhậu...., không tham gia sinh hoạt xã hội địa phương, không có bạn bè bản xứ, sống tách biệt.... thì không thể vào quốc tịch. Riêng người gốc Triều Tiên, Hàn Quốc thì vĩnh viễn không bao giờ được mang quốc tịch Nhật dù vài ba đời sống tại Nhật, sinh hoạt , ăn nói như người Nhật.

Úc thì khỏi nói, dễ như ăn cà rem. Đặt chân lên đất Úc 4 năm thì có quyền xin thi quốc tịch nếu được thường trú trước đó. Bài thi trắc nghiệm nhắm mắt quẹt cũng đậu. Dễ dãi vậy mà dân số tăng chậm rì mới rầu.

Người bây giờ khó kiếm. Mấy chính phủ một mặt ngăn chận người nhập cư để lấy lòng người dân, mặt khác vẫn tìm cách chiêu dụ dân xứ khác đến lập nghiệp vì có người đến là có tăng trưởng kinh tế.

Vì passport ĐL mạnh nên dòng người xứ này qua Úc du lịch khá nhiều. Nói chung làm công việc lao động bên Úc lương cao hơn Đài. Ở Đài kiếm khoảng 1200 đô một tháng trong hãng hay trong nông trại. Qua Úc vào nông trại làm tàn tàn cũng trên 3000. Người Việt xứ Đài ( đa số là nữ ) qua Úc du lịch kết hợp đi làm nhiều lắm dù luật lệ không cho phép như vậy. Nhiều người cũng muốn ở lại định cư nên " tình Đài duyên Úc " nhiều lắm. Không phải như còn ở VN mà khó khăn, mấy cô đang ở Úc thì kiếm chồng để ở lại đâu có khó vì đàn ông Úc ế cả đống, quơ đâu cũng cả rổ. Mấy anh chồng ĐL đôi khi cho vợ đi du lịch rồi mất vợ luôn là có thật. Dạo này phong trào hơi mạnh vì đại lục cứ hăm he uýnh hoài. Dân ta chiến tranh nhiều, tránh vỏ dưa lại gặp vỏ sầu riêng là thúi hẻo...

Anh Minh là bạn cùng nghề với tui. Người thật thà và chăm chỉ. Vợ chồng chia tay khá lâu, mấy đứa con lại thích sống với ảnh nên con gà trống này phải nuôi hai con cho đến gần trưởng thành. Có người làm mai cho một cô ở VN, ảnh có về xem mắt và chịu liền. Về lại Úc lo giấy tờ bảo lãnh.

Đùng một cái lại có bạn khác giới thiệu một em bên Đài mới qua. Hẹn ra quán cà phê gặp mặt. Ảnh rủ tui đi theo: em có hôn thê bên VN rồi mà bạn làm mai này quen quá, nể quá , nên cũng phải đi gặp mặt. Anh đi theo , thấy được thì " dớt " luôn đi. Tui cũng hồi hộp. Hai thầy trò đến quán. Nàng Đài và người làm mai đã đợi sẵn. Nói chuyện một hồi, cười giỡn vui vẻ. Tui lâu quá mới được nghe giọng nam bộ chớ bên Úc toàn nghe giọng bắc. Trong lòng thầm bảo anh mà chê thì... để tui. Nàng đứng lên đi lấy bình trà mời khách, lúc này mới thấy cặp giò dài thấy thèm. Dĩ nhiên là đâu tới lượt mình, anh Minh chịu luôn. Chiều hôm đó là có vợ vì cổ dọn đồ tới ở luôn....

Nói cho ngay Minh cũng được vài năm hạnh phúc. Sau khi sinh một cháu trai rồi giấy tờ li dị chồng bên Đài xong xuôi cùng giấy bảo lãnh của Minh hiệu lực, cô đã có thường trú. Sống thêm với Minh vài tháng cho trọn nghĩa rồi cổ xin ra ở riêng. Giờ Minh chỉ được ôm con chớ không được ôm vợ nữa vì thấy nơi ở có ...anh khác trẻ trung chớ không hom hem như Minh với tui. Vậy là xong một tập.

Vì mấy em xứ Đài qua Úc dễ nên cũng có một dịch vụ ăn nên làm ra. Tui biết là do tình cờ. Hôm ấy được một chị điện thoại nhờ làm một shop mát xa . Chị thuê một shop có chỗ đậu xe phía sau ( parking at rear ). Mặt tiền ghi Thai massage. Tui nghĩ đây chắc có mấy em Thái Lan đấm bóp ấy mà. Cái phòng lớn ngăn thành nhiều phòng nhỏ. Trên lầu làm thêm hai phòng ngủ có nhà tắm , toilet. Chị nói để mấy cô nghỉ ngơi sau buổi làm việc. Tui làm shop này cũng hơn một tháng. Được bà chủ tặng một voucher mát xa, nói thẻ này đặc biệt có thể tới.... z. Thôi kệ, đàn ông mà, chuyện này phải có chớ để lâu trong não nó gây nhiều bệnh chữa không được. Ai chửi già mà dâm cũng chịu (nhưng ngu gì để người ta ... biết để giữ tư cách đạo đức chớ.). Một bữa tâm trạng đang vui, sực nhớ cái voucher. Hiên ngang vô thăm mấy em Thái để trả mối thù cho dân tộc mình. Má ơi! Cả chục em cho chọn lựa, em nào cũng đẹp mà nói toàn.... tiếng Việt. Số xui sao đâu, gặp Việt mà đáng tuổi con cháu....Thôi !tui mát xa lành mạnh chớ không dám .... "mát gần". Toi một cái voucher.

Ngành sex business bên Úc kiếm tiền rất nhiều và được làm công khai. Dĩ nhiên làm lậu kiếm ăn hơn nên nhiều người kinh doanh món này. Người tầu và người Đại Hàn làm lâu rồi vì họ có nguồn nhân lực ( mấy em hay " anh " phải đẹp mới được, cạnh tranh dữ lắm ). Bây giờ có người Việt. Nguồn nhân lực ở đâu? Người bản xứ hầu như không có, tất cả phải ở nước ngoài với nguồn người du lịch, đi học hoặc hôn nhân giả. Và mấy em xứ Đài cũng nằm trong đó. Không có nghề gì một ngày kiếm một ngàn đô dễ dàng, chỉ có nghề đó. Cứ ba tháng shop lại có... em mới nên mấy khu đèn đỏ Úc cạnh tranh không lại. Đi du lịch Úc ba tháng, lúc về cầm sáu chục ngàn là tui có nghe kể.

Con COVID lúc này hại " chị em ta " quá! Héo luôn!
