The other day, the US Supreme Court issued a new ruling. Roughly, candidates taking entrance exams to universities....or similar colleges, won't get extra points based on ethnicity. Like the Vietnamese style after 75, the sons and daughters of communist martyr or families with revolutionary services get special treatments. Saying "ethnicity" for fun, but only "blacks" get the priority, not others like us, it is also "colour" but “alum” colour, hence it is not considered as black. They have to beat so many white guys to be able to enter Uni. The Supreme Court has decided this, and my Uncle in Law will lose more votes. But to do the counting, this ethnicity doesn't have many people voting for him. Then I heard that the case of Uncle Bi not asking to repay education loans, it was also ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. So they have to repay the education loans. The loan money has been spent, the votes have already been casted to Uncle Bi, now it hurts having to repay it.

The pro-Democrat stations are screaming their heads off. Saying that the Supreme Court is controlled by the conservative wing. Some people want to rewrite the law. For example, judges must have fixed terms, or increase the number of judges. The story reached Uncle Bi's ears. Uncle popped a proper and right answer: Stupid! Hôm kia Tối Cao Pháp Viện xứ Mỹ lại ra thêm phán quyết mới. Đại khái là thí sinh thi vào các đại học .... gì đó, sẽ không được thêm điểm dựa trên yếu tố sắc tộc. Giống như kiểu VN sau 75 là con liệt sĩ hoặc gia đình có công cm. Nói là "sắc tộc" cho đông vui chớ chỉ mấy anh chị ..."đen" là ưu tiên, chớ phe ta cũng "màu" nhưng màu phèn phèn là không được tính. Cũng phải "nốc ao" bao anh em "trắng" mới được vô trường ngon. TCPV ta phán quyết này thì ông dượng tui lại mất thêm mớ phiếu . Nhưng tính ra thì cái sắc tộc này đâu có bao nhiêu người bầu cho ổng. Rồi lại nghe nói cái vụ bác Bi không đòi tiền nợ học của sinh viên cũng bị TCPV phán vi hiến. Thế là mấy em lại phải đóng? Tiền xài hết rồi, phiếu đã bỏ cho bác Bi rồi, giờ trả lại mới đau.

Mấy đài phò DC la oai oái. Nói TCPV bị cánh bảo thủ nắm giữ. Có mấy người đòi viết luật lại. Thí dụ các thẩm phán phải có nhiệm kỳ, hoặc tăng thêm số lượng thẩm phán. Chuyện tới tai bác Bi. Bác trả lời một câu nghe được: Tầm bậy! Hiến pháp đã quy định, không được làm vậy....Đám đàn em xếp re. Phải công nhận TCPV Mỹ uy tín, không ai dám động vào.



Ông Ô thì la oai oái liền, đại ý phán quyết này "kỳ thị chủng tộc". Tui thì thấy cho thêm điểm vô đại học mới là kỳ thị. Bây giờ ai cũng bình đẳng rồi. Đã bình đẳng thì quyền lợi và nghĩa vụ phải như nhau. Giỏi thì đậu mà dốt thì rớt. Còn nếu mình là thành phần cần nâng đỡ , thì xã hội nên có chánh sách. Thí dụ thời VNCH, con các quân nhân hy sinh, được học trường Quốc Gia Nghĩa Tử. Miễn học phí, sách vở dồi dào. Tuy nhiên đi thi tú tài thì cũng phải đủ 162 điểm mới đậu như tất cả những thí sinh khác. Như vậy thì bằng cấp mới có giá trị chớ!

Lẫm rẫm nghĩ lại thì thấy ông dượng là người tính xa. Xa quá cỡ luôn. Cái vụ ông bỏ New York, nơi ông làm nên sự nghiệp, để về Florida là một sáng kiến tuyệt vời của con người làm chính trị. New York muôn đời là của DC rồi. Dọn về Florida, ông biến tiểu bang tranh chấp xưa nay, quyết định chức tổng thống nếu ai thắng ở bang này, thành thành trì của CH. Cú thưa kiện của FBI mà diễn ra ở tòa NY là ông chết chắc. Có lẽ bị còng ngay tại toà. Ở FL thì khác. Đa số dân yêu mến ổng. Rồi trời độ sao trúng ngay bà quan tòa mà ông bổ nhiệm lại xét xử ổng. Dĩ nhiên bà phải xét công tâm chớ không xét với tâm địa thù hằn. Đổi "hộ khẩu" là nước cờ đã tính trước mấy nước đi. Phục ổng quá xá!

Trở lại với vụ thi cử công bằng. Coi chừng cái phán quyết này "lây" qua mấy phương diện khác nữa. Thí dụ như nội các chính phủ xưa nay cũng phải có màu đen cho ra vẻ bình đẳng, không cần biết tài năng ra sao. Nội các bác Bi thì có thêm người đồng tính nữa cho hài hoà. Các công ty xí nghiệp cũng không cần tuyển người làm màu nữa. Tất cả dựa trên tài năng. Mà xưa nay tui thấy mỗi sắc dân lại có một cái tài riêng. Mấy anh đen là uýnh võ, thể thao, văn nghệ là không ai địch lại. Ở VN, đồng bào Thượng học tính toán thì chậm nhưng học sinh ngữ là nói rào rào, học đâu nhớ đó. Ca hát thì "mùi", chịu không nổi.Mỗi dân tộc có một bản lãnh riêng không ai giống ai. Từ đó làm nên một xã hội đa dạng. Giờ ta phân chia quyền lợi sắc tộc này với sắc tộc kia là kỳ thị đó. Nên tui nhớ trong một lần rally, có người bắt bẻ ông dượng sao không tìm chữ nghĩa hay ho để nói về sắc dân gốc Phi.(da màu). Ông trả lời black is black, có gì đâu mà phải tránh né, ai cũng như ai mà! Con người chính trực thì không gì phải sợ. Nhãn quan chính trị khác với cách nhìn về đạo đức.)

Lần bầu cử 24 coi chừng lại hai ông già so tài. Bên tám lạng người nửa cân. "Không ai chung tình được mãi" là triết lý sống bây giờ.
