You can say that you probably would meet a beauty queen on the street in this country. Funny. I learned that the word “Vene” means Venice. And “zuela” means “small”. When Westerners discovered this country, they found it as beautiful as Venice in Italy. Like Little Saigon. Everything that is “small” is beautiful. Venezuela was created.
Recently, the press forgot about Ukraine and Russia, and focused on America’s “backyard”. My Daddy sent warships and troops scrambling the water off this country. It made the Venezuelan president rushed to China to “dob on” Uncle Xi. He probably also called Uncle Putin. They are allied and friendly countries. Now…”everyone is on their own”. Of course, Pres. Trump knows about this. This is an opportunity for him to remove the thorn that has been bothering him during his first term. But he didn’t dare to touch it because at that time the big brothers of “Little Venice” were still too strong. Now they are “in shambles”. If he doesn’t take action, when will he? Just like Iran. It was beaten up badly, only managed to burn the American flag, but what else they could do.
I heard that Venezuela has the largest oil reserves in the world. Their oil is of good quality. When refined, the output is high, the oil companies make a lot of profit. Of course, the American capitalists are there to do business. Usually, they extract it and split it in half. Side 49, side 51. Everyone is happy. The population of this country is about twenty million. The oil revenue divided makes them rich. No one in the country needs to work.

I lived with communism for decades so I know. Anything that has a "national" status, every officials with power can freely carve it out and get rich for themselves and their followers. Oil and gas can't be sucked up by just sticking a pipe down the ground. It still has to be researched, improved, competed... but the mechanism that no one cries over public’s dead corpses can't operate as well as the capitalists. Then when the whole country lives on oil sales. Then no one... is poor enough to worry about going to school, worrying about finding a job, worrying about investing in business. Just waiting for the government to give it away.
Then there was a time when oil was a hundred dollars a barrel, dropped to fourty dollars... and the whole country was shocked. Not to mention the embargo, so we can only sell to a few countries at a price lower than the market price. Imagine if your monthly salary was ten million, now it's four million, you're dead for sure. The government is busy printing money, not making money. People living on the sea of oil have to dig through trash bins to find food. There's no job because they've never had to worry about finding food. "Equalization" is really dangerous.
Old man Trump's policy is really insidious. In the past few months, wherever there's a foul smell of kerosene, he's involved. The bad thing is, they're all Uncle Xi's younger brothers. Tui máu D nên tìm hiểu quốc gia này hơi bị kỹ lưỡng. Xứ gì mà gởi mấy ẻm đi thi hoa hậu là lụm giải hết trơn. Gọi là ra đường là gặp hoa hậu. Ngộ hén. Được biết chữ “Vene” nghĩa là Venice. Còn “zuela” nghĩa là “nhỏ”. Người phương Tây khi khám phá ra xứ này thấy nó đẹp như thành Venice bên Italy. Kiểu như Litle Saigon. Cái gì mà “nhỏ” đều đẹp hết.
Hổm rày báo chí quên vụ Ukraine với Nga, lo nhìn “sân sau” của nước Mỹ. Ông dượng cho chiến hạm và quân đội đến đầy nhóc ngoài khơi xứ này. Khiến ông tổng thống Venezuela vội vàng bay qua Trung Cộng “méc” bác Tập. Chắc cũng điện thoại cho bác Putin nữa. Là những quốc gia thân thiết. Giờ…”thân ai nấy lo”. Dĩ nhiên là ông Trump biết chuyện này. Đây là cơ hội để ổng nhổ cái gai mà nhiệm kỳ 1 nó đâm ổng nhức nách. Nhưng không dám đụng vô vì lúc đó mấy đàn anh của “Venice nhỏ” còn sung quá. Giờ họ “bệ rạc” rồi. Không ra tay thì còn chờ đến bao giờ. Y như Iran vậy. Bị uýnh đau điếng, đốt cờ Mỹ trừ, chớ đâu làm được gì.
Nghe nói trữ lượng dầu hoả của Venezuela nhiều nhất thế giới. Dầu của họ lại thuộc loại tốt. Khi lọc thì được sản lượng cao, các công ty dầu khí có lời nhiều. Dĩ nhiên là mấy tư bản Mỹ đều có mặt để làm ăn. Thường hút lên thì chia đôi. Bên 49, bên 51. Ai cũng vui vẻ. Dân số xứ này có hai mấy triệu. Lợi tức dầu hỏa chia ra khiến họ thành những người giầu có. Cả nước đâu ai cần đi làm.
Ấy vậy mà mấy cha làm chính trị đâu có chịu. Chia cho nước ngoài một nửa thì đau quá. Nên “quốc hữu hóa”. Nghĩa là đuổi cổ mấy tư bản đi hết. Giờ tài nguyên do “quốc doanh “. Ẵm trọn “chăm phần chăm”. Chia chác chi cho mệt. Dân chúng phấn khởi quá xá. Chủ nghĩa cộng sản muôn năm. Tư bản Mỹ ngậm ngùi bỏ của chạy lấy người. Ghét nhau từ dạo ấy.
Có điều, đụng “nồi cơm” của Mỹ thì đâu có yên. Rồi còn chửi Mỹ cọp beo ra rả mỗi ngày nữa. Mỹ không oánh mới là chuyện lạ.
Tui sống với cộng sản mấy chục năm nên biết. Cái gì có “quốc” là mạnh ai nấy đục đẽo, làm giàu. Gọi là tham nhũng. Cơ chế nó vậy. Bỏ tù hoài mà đâu có hết. Công nghệ dầu khí đâu phải cứ cắm ống xuống là hút. Nó còn phải nghiên cứu, cải tiến,cạnh tranh … mà cái cơ chế cha chung không ai khóc làm sao mà vận hành tốt bằng tụi tư bản được. Rồi khi cả nước sống bằng tiền bán dầu. Thì đâu ai… nghèo mà lo đi học, mà lo kiếm nghề kiếm nghiệp, mà lo đầu tư buôn bán. Cứ chờ nhà nước ban phát thôi.
Rồi có lần dầu đang trăm đô một thùng. Nó rớt xuống bốn chục đô… thì cả nước tá hỏa. Chưa kể còn bị cấm vận nên chỉ bán được cho vài quốc gia với giá rẻ hơn thị trường. Thử tưởng tượng lương mình mỗi tháng mười triệu giờ còn bốn triệu là chết chắc. Chính phủ lo in tiền chớ đâu làm gì ra tiền. Dân sống trên biển dầu mà bới thùng rác kiếm đồ ăn là vậy. Nghề nghiệp cũng không có vì xưa nay đâu phải lo kiếm miếng ăn. Chủ nghĩa “cào bằng” thật nguy hiểm.
Chính sách ông già Trump thật thâm hiểm. Mấy tháng nay, cứ nơi đâu có mùi hôi hôi của dầu hoả là có ổng nhúng tay vô. Ác một cái toàn là em út của bác Tập. Iran, Nga, giờ đến Venezuela. Ổng quậy cho đến khi nào bác Tập chịu mua dầu của Mỹ mới thôi. Mà mua của Mỹ thì phải… “ói” đô la, chớ Mỹ đâu xài “nhưn dưn tệ”. Còn mua dầu của Nga hay Iran hay Venice bé nhỏ, thì trao đổi hàng Tàu cho họ xài. Tổng thống Venezuela đâu có iPhone. Phải xài Huawei cùi bắp mà.
Dĩ nhiên, về chính trị, uýnh ai thì phải gán cho họ một cái… tội. Iran thì nguyên tử. Venezuela là ma túy. Còn uýnh như thế nào để thắng thì tui tin … Mỹ đế thắng. Họ quá nhiều kinh nghiệm. Toàn kinh nghiệm xương máu, tiền của và chính phủ đã từng đổ vỡ.
Thật ra, Mỹ có Nam Mỹ trong tầm tay thì dư sống, khỏi cần chạy qua lục địa khác. Cùng nhau đoàn kết và phát triển. Mở một con đường xa lộ từ Canada chạy tuốt đến Nam Cực. Dân Nam Mỹ muốn việc làm thì lên phía bắc, dân Bắc Mỹ muốn xem con chim cánh cụt bự chảng thì xuống phía nam. Ai cũng vui vẻ. Tự nhiên du nhập cái chủ nghĩa cộng sản vào đây, hư bột hư đường hết trọi.
