Re: The discrepancies of the border lines between Vietnam and China, and the maps of South China Sea shown on http://maps.google.com/ and http://ditu.google.com/
Dear Dr. Schmidt and Mr. Hanke:
On 20 October 2011 we sent to you a letter to alert you about the discrepancies between the maps of South China Sea, and on 24 October 2011 we sent to you another letter raising our concerns of the other discrepancies between the maps in http://maps.google.com/ and in http://ditu.google.com/ with regard to Vietnam-China land border along Lao Cai City of Vietnam which you informed us back in August 2010 that the error had been fixed.
For three months since the time we emailed our letters to you we have not received your responses about our concerns. As of today we still note these discrepancies still exist on both Google’s official Google Maps web sites stated above.
We really would appreciate it very much if you would look into this matter with a sense of urgency and have the discrepancies resolved in a very short time possible.
We and our fellow Vietnamese from all over the world are anxiously waiting for your reply.
Thank you very much for your consideration.
Yours sincerely,On behalf of concerned Vietnamese,
Khoa Ba Ngo, Hung Nguyen, Quang Long Le
